The Rosenkreuz Orden
The Rosenkreuz Orden is a powerful and secretive vampire terrorist organization, acting as the primary antagonists in the Trinity Blood series. The Orden is led by the enigmatic Crusnik, Cain, who is often referred to as "Contra Mundi," a title meaning "Against the World." Preferring to work behind the scenes, the organization manipulates both humans and vampires, often using them as pawns to carry out their dark agendas.
The group's ultimate goal is to usher in a "new world order," which they aim to achieve by sparking a catastrophic war between the Vatican, the New Human Empire, and Albion. While the Orden's public agenda seems to involve the creation of a new world, Cain's personal ambition to destroy humanity and the world hints at a deeper, more personal vendetta behind the group's actions.
Cain Nightroad

Cain is the oldest of the Test Tube Babies, often seen as Abel's twin brother. Once the beloved leader of the Mars Colonization Project, Cain's life was changed forever after a tragic accident. To save him, Seth injected Cain with Crusnik nanomachines, which not only revived him but also drove him insane. Following the return of the colonialists to Earth, Cain and Abel sided with the vampire returners. However, Cain's actions, driven by the influence of Lilith, led to a fatal conflict with Abel, which ended in Cain's apparent death as his body burned into ash.
However, Cain was able to regenerate, albeit with difficulty, and nine centuries later, he encountered Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer. Together, they took control of the Rosenkreuz Orden, transforming it from a minor faction into a major global terrorist organization. Cain’s motivations are shrouded in mystery, but his obsession with the destruction of the world seems to be a personal vendetta against humanity.
Despite his cold and aloof nature in the anime, Cain occasionally shows a more playful side in the manga, where he can be seen interacting carelessly with others, such as Esther, whom he once mistook for his brother Abel. His true nature remains elusive, as he oscillates between moments of cold cruelty and bizarre, almost childlike behavior.
In battle, Cain’s Crusnik powers manifest as red eyes, blue claws, and six white wings, granting him the ability to wield destructive energy. His Crusnik form also brings a black lance that can cause massive destruction. His powers make him one of the most formidable figures in the series, and his goal is to destroy his brother Abel, whom he views as a constant threat to his existence. Though Abel manages to defeat Cain in one instance, their final confrontation ends in a stalemate, setting the stage for an eternal rivalry.
Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer

Isaak is an inventor and the mastermind behind Cain's current regenerative body. As a key member of the Rosenkreuz Orden, Isaak has a long and mysterious history, having gone by various aliases, including Isaac Butler during his time in London. His motivations are unclear, but he is deeply loyal to Cain, assisting him in his mission to lead the Orden. Isaak is a brilliant strategist and a skilled practitioner of Lost Technologies, using his knowledge to create powerful weapons and demons to further the Orden’s goals.
Isaak’s primary weapon is the Arrow of Belial, a devastating sphere of light capable of unleashing destructive bolts of energy. He also uses the Shield of Asmodai, an electromagnetic barrier that defends him from nearly any attack. His intelligence and tactical genius make him a dangerous figure, though he prefers to remain in the background, leaving others to do his bidding.
Despite his often aloof and reserved demeanor, Isaak has a history of helping those outside his organization, including saving Abel from certain death at the hands of Monica Argento. His reasons for assisting others, including Esther, remain a mystery. Isaak’s calm and detached nature adds to his enigmatic persona, making him one of the most intriguing characters in the series.
Dietrich von Lohengrin
Voiced by: Kenichi Suzumura (Japanese), Justin Cook (English)
Dietrich is a sadistic and highly intelligent member of the Rosenkreuz Orden, known for his extreme cruelty and mastery over Lost Technology. Born into an aristocratic family, Dietrich’s evil nature led to the death of his parents at his own hands, an event that shaped his outlook on the world. He views others as mere tools for his amusement, with little regard for their well-being.
Dietrich is the creator of the "Death Hunters," vampire corpses brought back to life and controlled through Lost Technology. His sadistic nature extends to his interactions with Esther, whom he seems to torment for his own pleasure. Despite his cruelty, Dietrich harbors a certain respect for Cain and Isaak, though he often plays the role of a manipulator within the organization.
In the anime, Dietrich meets a tragic end when he fails to secure control of a rocket in Albion, prompting Cain to kill him. However, in the novels, Dietrich survives, continuing his role in the Orden’s machinations.
Radu Barvon
Voiced by: Katsuyuki Konishi (Japanese), Jason Liebrecht (English)
Radu, a member of the Orden and Ion Fortuna’s foster brother, is a ruthless operative tasked with causing chaos. Known for his ability to produce and control blue flames, Radu is a dangerous figure within the organization. His actions lead to the betrayal of Ion and the Vatican, contributing to the conflict between the New Human Empire and the Vatican. Though seemingly loyal to the Orden, Radu’s actions are often driven by his own desires, as he betrays those closest to him without hesitation.
Radu’s loyalty is tested when he is turned into a puppet after being killed by Abel. His body is reanimated and manipulated by Dietrich, turning him into a mindless servant of the Orden. His tragic end comes when his body is destroyed by Seth in her Crusnik form, marking the final end of his tortured existence.
Helga von Vogelweide
In the novels, Helga, codenamed Eishexe ("Ice Witch"), is a highly ranked member of the Rosenkreuz Orden with the power to control cold and ice. She is deeply in love with Cain and grows jealous of Isaak’s closeness with him. Helga's jealousy drives her to conspire with the Neumann brothers to eliminate Isaak and Dietrich in a bid for power, but her treachery is discovered, leading to her death at Isaak’s hands.
Balthasar von Neumann
Balthasar, a Methuselah, is a highly respected and intelligent strategist within the Orden. Known for his artistic nature and tactical brilliance, Balthasar possesses the ability to generate petrifying venom, capable of crystallizing targets and using his own bodily fluids as deadly projectiles. His calm demeanor and respect for Isaak make him one of the few individuals who commands Isaak’s trust. However, his alliance with Helga leads to his eventual downfall, as Isaak eliminates both Balthasar and Helga for their betrayal.
Melchior von Neumann
Melchior, the middle Neumann brother, is a mysterious and twisted individual. He creates armies of Auto-Dolls, which are mechanical soldiers built using Lost Technology. His most notable creation is Siegelind, a special Auto-Doll that plays a significant role in the Orden’s operations. Melchior’s abilities with technology and his sadistic nature make him a dangerous figure within the Orden.
Kaspar von Neumann
The youngest of the Neumann brothers, Kaspar is a polymorph capable of changing his appearance at will. Despite his cheerful exterior, he is ruthless and cruel, willing to go to any lengths to achieve his goals. His transformation abilities make him a formidable foe, as he can disguise himself and manipulate others with ease. Kaspar's sadistic tendencies lead to his eventual demise at the hands of Sister Kaya, who burns him alive during a confrontation in Rome.
Guderian
Known as Reißzahn ("Fang"), Guderian is Isaak's loyal chauffeur and bodyguard. A werewolf of terrifying strength, Guderian is a dangerous presence on the battlefield. His monstrous wolf form allows him to overpower his enemies, and his fierce loyalty to Isaak makes him a reliable ally, though his brutal nature often leads to conflict with others.
Susanne von Skorzeny
Susanne, also known as the Red Baroness, is a skilled pilot with a deep love for her ship. She is a mysterious figure whose role in the larger conflict of the Orden is not fully explored, but her talents as a pilot and her apparent cruelty make her a formidable force.
