Mashle: Magic and Muscles (Japanese: マッシュル-MASHLE-, Hepburn: Masshuru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Kōmoto.
Mash is a pale-skinned (with a slight tan) young man of average height with black hair that is styled in a bowl-cut with bangs swept to the right, yellow eyes, a fake magic mark made by Brad Coleman was placed over his left cheek in the form of a lightning bolt (the mark was removed in Chapter 162), he possesses a muscular build and he is often seen wearing a stoic and blank expression on his face.
He is seen wearing two different outfits:
He wears the standard Easton Magic Academy school uniform of a white shirt, black trousers, red tie, brown shoes and black cloak.
When training, he often wears a black skin-tight under-armor bodysuit with a pair of white shorts over it and he is mostly seen barefoot.
Personality
Mash is generally a kind and quiet boy who is often seen displaying little to no emotion and sporting a stoic, dispassionate expression regardless of his circumstances. However, if he sees someone hurting his family or friends, he gets incredibly angry.
He is also extremely innocent and obedient, which leads to him being abused and taken advantage of by others, but thanks to his strength he can twist out of almost every situation. Aside from his outright innocent thought process, he is incredibly blunt as he says things that would be considered rude to others, without a care in the world. He usually combines his bluntness with a sharp sense of wit. He firmly believes in his abilities so much so he downright told the headmaster himself he would "knock the stuffing out of [him]" with his fist. He makes this behavior even more evident throughout his school life, especially his encounter with Carpaccio Luo-Yang, in which he boldly stated that he never met anyone stronger than him with a look of boredom.
While he is blunt, Mash is open to finding a peaceful solution to conflict. He doesn't particular find fighting stronger opponents very exciting despite his incredible strength; he wishes he could simply live his life without worry and just go home.
Mash is shown to be very simple-minded and hates studying, having poor academic performance. Mash is unable to handle too much information at once and will overload.
Powers and Abilities
Mash stopping Abyss Razor's blade with his muscles.
Muscles Magic (マスクルズ 魔法, Masukuruzu Mahō): Mash was born without a magic mark, so he cannot cast spells. Instead, he utilizes the inhuman strength of each of his muscle groups to perform techniques that compensate for his lack of magical power. On top of his raw strength, Mash also has impressive control over his muscle groups, so much that he’s capable of clenching his abdominal muscles to prevent potential blades stabbed in his body from being taken out.
The feats Mash accomplishes with his non-magical techniques are impressive enough to make people believe he's using some form of physical enhancement magic. Mash's control and strength of his muscles only further increased after his training with Meliadoul Amy, allowing him to perform even more impressive and devastating feats, such as stopping Doom's blade using his ocular muscles, catching it with his eyelids.
Big Bang Dash (ビッグバンダッシュ, Biggu Ban Dasshu): Classified as Hamstring Magic. Mash gets on the ground and adopts a starting position before sprinting at full speed to his target and back to where he initially started. This technique is fast enough to appear as if Mash disappeared and reappeared to the human eye, as well as enabling him with enough speed to run vertically down a cliff to catch an object before it hits the ground.
Mash punching Silva Iron with his Ballista Knuckle technique.
Ballista Knuckle (バリスタナックル, Barisuta Nakkuru): Classified as Triceps Magic. Mash crosses his fingers then folds them into a fist before running forward to punch his opponent in the face.
Hell Fall (へル・フォール, Eru Fōru): Classified as Erector Spinae Magic. Mash grabs his opponent from behind and jumps high in the air, before flipping himself upside down with the opponent in order to pile drive them into the ground, head first.
Guillotine Kick (ギロチンキック, Girochin Kikku): Classified as Quadriceps Magic. Mash first buries his enemy in the ground, going up to their neck, doing so by dragging them down while he’s in the ground and then getting out to wind back his leg to kick the immobile opponent in the face.
Hurricane Rush (ハリケーンラッシュ, Harikēn Rasshu): Classified as Full Muscles Magic. Mash twists his body, winds his right arm back, and swiftly punches his opponent in the gut, sending them flying. As they fall, he sprints underneath them and launches an onslaught of physical attacks, using the strength from each of his individual muscles. His first attack, “Glutes,” involves kneeing his opponent in the back. Next, he uses his “Forearm” muscles to backhand the opponent away. Then, he dashes to use his “Quadriceps,” where he kicks them into the air. Mash appears above them and uses his “Pectorals” to punch them back to the ground. After bouncing off the ground, Mash appears behind them and uses his “Illioposas” to kick them away again. Within the manga and anime, every attack performed by Mash and the corresponding names of the muscles used for the off-screen attacks are not explicitly shown. However, Mash does end his attack using the “Erector Spinae,” which is similar to Hell Fall.
Mash disrobes himself in a split second.
Special Art Body Substitution Jutsu: Mash quickly removes his uniform, inhumanely fast enough for his clothes to briefly remain in a humanoid shape before falling. This is most effective when Mash wants to completely avoid an attack by having his clothing act as a decoy.
Barbarian Shot (バーベアリアンショット, Babearian Shotto): Classified as Brachioradialis Magic. After turning his iron wand into a cue stick-like form, Mash quickly thrusts it forward with immense force.
Barbarian Punch (バーベアリアンパンチ, Babearian Panchi): Classified as Deltoid Magic. Mash punches his opponent with immense force.
Python Choke (パイソンチョーク, Paison Choku): Classified as Biceps Magic. Mash chokes his opponent out with his arm wrapped around them and locking his bicep around their neck, naturally causing them to pass out and begin hallucinating an alternate battle against Mash from hypoxia.
Big Three Dragon Dead Lift (): Classified as Erector Spinae Magic. Mash squats down and digs his hands into the ground in front of him and proceeds to lift an enormous portion of it.
Bio-Mechanics Cannon: Pronation (): After fully understanding the mechanisms of his muscles, Mash punches his target with full force. This amount of strength is capable of creating multiple large holes in Innocent Zero's castle.
Unlimited Physical Mode (アンリミテッドフィジカルモード, Anrimiteddo Fijikaru Mōdo): Classified as Full Muscles Magic. Mash removes his wrist weights, unleashing the true strength of his muscles. In this form, Mash becomes fast enough to create afterimages of himself.
Unlimited Hammer (アンリミテッドハンマー, Anrimiteddo Hanmā): Mash strikes down his opponent with both arms.
Punch Squared (スクアッドパンチ, Sukuaddo Panchi; Lit. Squared Punch): Classified as Unlimited Biceps Magic. While in his Unlimited Physical Mode, Mash punches a target twice then repeatedly punches them with the number of punches each turn is the last amount squared.
Weakness Mode (ウイークネス モード, Uīkunesu Mōdo): A "state of perfect lethargy". In this mode, Mash is able to utilize the contraction of his muscle fibers. This allows his body to become as flimsy as paper, making it extremely difficult to hit. It is even able to avoid Doom's attacks at 100% power. The greater the gap between contraction and a state of rest, the greater the kickback. Doom says it is a flawless state of offense and defense.
Gaia Burst (ガイアバースト Gaia Bāsuto): Classified as Finger Extensor Magic. An extremely powerful flick that is even capable of dispersing dark magic. The technique is named after Gaia, the greek primordial goddess of the earth.
Divine Punishment (天誅 Tenchū; Lit. Heaven's Punishment): Mash adopts a starting position and starts to run at an inhuman speed and then throws a powerful punch right into his opponent's face.
Galaxy Crash (ギャラクシー・クラッシュ, Gyarakushī Kurasshu): Classified as Whole Body Magic. Mash performs a powerful suplex on a target, crushing the ground underneath.
Sports Expert: Mash is incredible knowledgeable of many techniques used in different kinds of sports, such as feints. He also knows how to perform advanced gymnastic techniques. He utilises those skills in tandem with his Iron Wand, giving him an edge in battle.
Immeasurable Strength and Speed: Mash possesses a truly insane amount of physical power, acquired from intense weight training he has been doing since childhood, making him capable of benching and lifting extremely heavy weights with inhuman rep speed. This physical training translates well into battle against magic users in numerous ways, as on several occasions Mash is seen capable of completely blocking and even playing with advanced magic spells by simply swiping his hand at them. Mash is also strong enough to throw a broomstick at blinding speeds, fast enough to jump and mount onto the broomstick in mid air and land perfectly fine, all within a fraction of a second. For majority of his feats Mash is wearing his wrist weights which inhibit his full strength, but when taken off, Mash’s already monstrous strength and speed reaches a new level. At full power, Mash becomes quick enough to generate afterimages with his movements. Mash became even more powerful after undergoing physical training in a mindscape guarded by an enigmatic god, who was capable of transferring all the effort of Mash’s training into his physical body, increasing his monstrous strength even more.
Flight: Mash is able to emulate flight using his inhuman speed and muscular strength to do so. By rapidly kicking his legs back and forth, Mash can generate enough propulsive force to take flight off the ground and stay suspended in midair. Mash initially first demonstrated this ability to make his peers believe he’s able to ride a broomstick .
Fire Generation: By rapidly rotating a stick or another object against a surface while using his inhuman speed, Mash is capable of generating a enough friction to create a firestorm engulfed around him.
Tornado Generation: Through repeatedly breakdancing, Mash is capable of generating powerful enough winds upward to form a tornado using nothing but the rotational force coming from his body to do so.
Lung Control: Using the power of his lungs, Mash is able to suck in specific objects by taking a deep breath or shoot small projectiles at the speed of a bullet by spitting. He can also hold his breath for long periods of time to survive underwater.
Immense Durability: Mash's body is extremely durable, capable of taking much more damage than normal humans. His durability is even greater than that of a goddess as seen in his battle against Carpaccio Luo-Yang. It was revealed that Innocent Zero created him as a body to withstand enormous magic capacity.
Immense Endurance: In addition to his offensive power, Mash possesses incredible endurance, able to keep on fighting, despite severe injuries. He is able to continue his fight with Domina Blowelive despite having a large piercing wound on his torso, which was inflicted to him by the latter. Astonishingly, Mash is capable of moving around and launching a kick at a target even after having his heart ripped out of him, albeit only for a short duration of time.
Inhuman Reflexes: Mash can react to spells and any other attack at extreme speed. By touching a wall behind him, Mash is able to perceive Margarette Macaron's movements by taking advantage of the fact, that the sound that they generate travels faster from the ground to the wall behind him, ultimately allowing him to dodge their attack. According to Kaldo Gehenna, to pull off such a feat would require otherworldly reflexes.
Inhuman Senses: During his fight with Doom, Mash demonstrated his incredible senses as he weighed Doom and his mirrors clones in order tell which one was real.

Weaknesses
Studying: Although Mash is a terrifyingly powerful combatant, he's academically incompetent. Mash's main salvation comes from hands-on exam which usually require combat ability. During a mock exam, his results were: Magical Linguistics at 30 points, Magical History at 10 points, Potions at 3 points, Magical Mathematics at 10 points. After extensive studying sessions, Mash was able to barely pass the end-semester exams with around 50 points on all subjects.
Soundwaves: As shown during his fight against Margarette Macaron, Mash's ear canals are susceptible to high frequency soundwaves which can temporarily incapacitate him or cause his eardrums to rupture.
Muscle Spasms: If Mash uses his Unlimited Physical Mode for too long, he will suffer muscle spasms and will be unable to move.
