Pygmalion

Coult(Kurt,Colt), the prince of the kingdom of Loon, is living a happy life with his father King Stephan and many retainers. He is cheerful, bright, tender-hearted, and gifted by the god Aganade
Coult's mother Guaratia(Galatea)-the daughter of Aganade-married King Stephan However, Medusa-daughter of the evil spirit-was envious of her happiness and turned her into a statue together with many villagers when Coult was still a baby.

In order to save the other villagers, Stephan pledged allegiance to Medusa, and was forced to promise to make Coult do the same on his 8th birthday.

When the day arrives, Coult declares that he will defeat Medusa and revive the people who were turned into statues. He sets out on a long journey to search for the daughter of the evil spirit.

Colt

Colt or Kurt is the blonde blue eyes demi god, son of King Stephan and goddess Galatea. He possesses super human strength and agility also supernatural endurance  and stamina, he is an able combatant. armed with the sword of earth that can change size, ranging from a small dagger to a giant sword that is tall as a tower. Also with a golden sentinel that can perform three miracles.

Ori

Ori is the younger sister of Galatea, resembling Galatea as if they were twins. She had crystalline blue eyes and long blonde hair.In the begging she was a weak goddess and  her goddess powers were stripped by Gaea the earth goddess and she was banished to hell, where she had to compete with lost souls to reach a top a mountain where the soul of light is to be reborn. The souls were strongly competing but when she helped a lost soul it got reborn, and also all the souls that helped her reach the mountain top and the sword were reborn. When she claimed the sword of light she turned back into a goddess and possessing greater powers then before. She is able to take flight, and is immune to magic by lesser beings. She can transform a piece of dried wood into a fruit bearing tree. Also she can change her size , she can transform into an inch tall version of herself. She can emit bolts of energy from her hands and fingers.  She could also melt ice using the warmth of her hands. She is an able swordsman

Leon

Leon is a baby dragon, Coult's best friend and companion. He looks like an talking lizard with a single tusk on his nose. His wings are hidden, which he can use to take flight, he also has the ability to breathe strong fire.



Giladol

GIladol is an Eye monster once defeated by Coult, when Coult defeated Giladol, the monster respected and followed him around. He is loyal to Colt. Giladol looks like a huge floating eyeball. But his true form is a huge floating eyeball with strong tentacles.

Ori 

Ori is the beautiful child oracle also known as the princess of the crystal, She is raised and treasured by her mother and their caravan with the hopes of her marrying a prince from a rich empire. She is a venerated oracle, her prophesies are respected and trusted by kings. She is beautiful with fair skin and dark hair.  Using her crystal she is able to perform accurate divination, aslo her crystal allows her to be invisible for a certain time. The powers of her crytal was transferred to her circlet by the ''story teller'' who was Lord Agnar in disguise.


Theo 

the King of death Valley.He is a Huge bore with sharp tusk and has ice breath. His brown body and hide as strong as steel

but she could not defeat the king of death valley. The beast had fallen in love, but afraid it is just a trick he summonsed the snow and ice maidens to freeze the beautiful warrior.


Lord Ansus

Ansus is Medussa's brother. He is strong demon swordsman, who is secretly in love with Galatea. He refuesed to be Enzp's successor, thus banished from the realms of Enzo. He lives in his floating island. Later Enzo will strip him of all his demonic powers. But he can still use spells using his sealed demons in his small jar. 

Aura

Aura Lady medusa's wet nurse also known as  the weaving Lady, her true form is a giant spider, when she was young she was a giant spider with hundreds of her babies on her back, she would pillage the villages in search for new borns to feed to her spider babies. One day she fell asleep and when she woke up she was surrounded by hundreds of human babies, blinded by blood lust she massacred the babies only to find out the babies she killed were in fact her own spider babies. She was punished by the gods never to have children of her own again and only to raise other's offspring.  Years passed she became a kind old woman who spends her time weaving, old as she may but she is powerful. She begged medusa to pardon Colt for his insolence, she begged Medusa for impunity. She prostrate herself to Medusa and generated an image of a lovely goddess with green eyes,reminding Medusa of her original form. (medussa was once a beautiful maiden) After Medussa granted the old lady's request. Aura turned into a little white spider. She was stabbed by Ansus. 

Goda clams

goda clams are one eyes monster clams that devour humans. They can overwhelm someone to devour them but they are weak against  fire.

Lord Marius

Marius is the silver knight, Medussa's adpoted son. He rides his dragon Sylvana

Baccus

Baccus is the genius sculptor hired by Ansus to make an image of a goddess, he had never seen a goddess so he decided to go to the heavens where he saw Ori, who resembles Galatea. Thus making his satue out of Ori's image.
His name is inspired from the wine god Baccus. He went to the upper realm and met Ori and scetched her. He stumbled upon the sacred chamber and released the sealed goddesses Galatea being one of them.

Mars or Mars goddesses are the warrior goddesses who defend the celestial palace of the upper realms. They are sisters of Ori and Galatea. They fight by firing arrows from bows made of light.

Mon Colle Knights Angels

Long before the events of the anime, Zaha and Ciel were engaged. After Zaha's fall and Lark's death, the two were no longer together, but she remained faithful that he might return to himself one day. Till that came to pass, she was his enemy and would ensure to stand in his way whenever possible; Zaha for his part remembered her well and would not harm her, but would not give a chance to be spoken with either.
Once Zaha finally was in a position that did not allow him to fly off easily, Ciel was there to tell Lark's side of the story, ultimately making him accept the truth. Upon seeing his remorse, she forgave him and assured him not to be concerned that his form was a sign of evil, he was still the same she once knew.
Now reconciled, they share the goal of working against Reda and if they are in the same episode, they'll soon be at each others side. In the end, they act as the guardian angels of the holy and demon elements, and the reunion stands symbol to the two realms putting aside their differences.

Ciel, The Rainbow Spinning Angel

Ciel is an elemental angel apparently in service of the Four Elemental Angels and the only regular angel to appear during the span of the series.

Personality

Straight forward, wasting no words on pointless things, or her own emotions and doubts. All one would except from an angel, she is kind and compassionate, mature rather than naive. She has something motherly in nature, and does not hesitate to throw herself in harms way in order to protect. Her mind is sharp and she was the first to suspect Reda was up to something other than world domination. She also found out that the demon element isn't inherently evil, apparently by learning how to use its magic. There may be a snarky streak, as her response to the suspected world domination plan was, "That's all?"

History

She was present during the last war of saints and demons and witnessed her brother's death in it, after he told her what happened. Zaha was initially assumes dead, but when he turned out to be alive and fallen, she made a habit of looking after him and ensuring he did not go too far.
Zaha for his turn flew away whenever she came, never giving her a chance to talk. Some time in this period, she discarded the views on Angels and Demons as good and evil, and also learned some demon magic. She also became a minor elemental angel.

• Profession — A servent of the Yondai Tenshi. Which actually means saving people a lot and being Zaha's psychologist.
• Location — While not tied to a specific location, when on or near holy grounds she the sky changes color, such as going from gray to golden (in the Deep Blue) or to a mixture of blue, green and yellow (in the Crystal Flame Valley). Her presence also may give a mint color to the moon. A similar effect is that she can leave a rainbow in her trail, if she chooses to.

Trivia

The simplest meaning of her name is it being part of L'Arc 'n Ciel, French for rainbow. Ciel means sky or heaven, and her brother would be the arch. Another possible explanation is Shīr, which is Hebrew for song or verse. In this case, Lark would symbolize the bird of ascension, the lark, and Shīr would be the words that he never spoke.

Zaha, The Black Wing Angel

Personality

Torn between what he is, and what he thinks he should be. He was raised to believe that angels were inherently good and demons inherently evil. But as a demon, his conscience still speaks loudly both against his actions and against the form he appears in, which he does not want to face. This results in Reaction Formation : a defense mechanism that sees him display the opposite behavior to his conscience, though from time to time he slips up.

Therefore, he goes out of his way to prove to himself that he need not regret falling. This involves the belief that everyone will ultimately forsake their standards, as Lark apparently did in front of him, and so seeing heroics rubs him the wrong way. He tends to tell himself that friendship is just an illusion, and all his actions prior to redemption serve, in one way or another, the purpose of self-justification.

He isn't very good at looking farther than his nose and coupled with his aggression this makes for someone very dangerous. In a fit of rage he repeatedly sets the surroundings on fire, however, when calm he is capable of quite rational thought.

After redemption, he still has his crude language, his doubt and his rage, but now directs it in different ways. The original need to protect now dominates his behavior, he'll risk his life for others and stands up for the other demons. Yet a part of him is tired with the world and he longs for the strife to end, but that part isn't powerful enough in the end.

Upon seeing that even the angels can set aside their differences and come forth to do the right thing, he gains whatever courage he needed to really accept himself as a demon.

After seeing Orthros help the Knights he jumped in to help them out as well. From that point forth though, he became obsessed with convincing them to give up their heroic ways, using psychological torture (forcing them to kill their possessed friends). Later when seeing Mondo supposedly give evidence that he was just faking his friendship ideals, he got into Zaha Smash mode and again tried torturing him into giving up on it, again without effect.

At the point this happened, he was already on somewhat bad foot with Reda, who seems to be used already to being spoken to with disrespect by Zaha. He more or less had followed Reda's instructions in the past, and initially agreed to pay back his debt, but only if given the proper answers.

Rut was his only companion, who served as his sidekick and aide. They both like to dish friendship and other ideals, all the while having a pretty strong friendship themselves. Zaha calls him idiot from time to time, but Rut can push quite far with annoying him and the most he'll get is a glare.

Ciel he tried to ignore during this time, always flying away before she could talk to him. He is terrified of her response, expecting her to condemn him.

Post redemption, he is something of a guardian angel to the Knights and usually finds himself hovering around Ciel. Here it shows they know each other well, as they can tell each other a lot without words and effectively work together. Still, he is somewhat surprised of the ease with which she accepts him.

All his former rage has not been erased, but is channeled towards Reda now. Reda still can read him like a book and knows how to bring him off balance by encouraging his suicidal desire, but Zaha resists this time and ultimately kills him.

History

Once a holy angel, he was abandoned in the war by his troops and lost all hope when his best friend, Lark, also seemed to forsake him. Believing all light and friendship to be a lie, if even angels failed it in a time of need, he took an offer by Reda to gain the power for survival. He turned into a demon on the spot and followed Reda into the demon realm.

Some time during this he repeatedly encountered Ciel and has at least once seen her use Darkness Illusion, but ignored her usually by flying away.

• Style — Zaha is one of the most powerful demons, if not the most powerful. This refers to raw power only, which he can throw energy around excessively without becoming tired, and he can drain other's power for himself, though rarely needing it. He has very little on tactical magic though, and hence has a set-back on Reda. When needing to perform advanced magic, he relies on Rut for the details while providing the power himself.
• Location — He is not associated with a specific location, though he has an uncanny tendency to ominously float before the full moon.
• Profession — None really; being an angsty blob of destruction isn't productive enough to qualify as profession.

Trivia

Zaha is derived from Zahariel, which means "Brightness of God". Zahariel was the angel who would help people resist temptation. This is both ironic and fitting to his character, as he first failed temptation, then become someone who temps others, then someone who helps others resist temptation, and finally somone able to resist it himself too.

Saban Version

• He is renamed Gabriolis. There are about five different interpretations of his personality, and it can only be concluded that he is clinically insane.
• Version 1 was an accomplished general of the good side, but wanted to be the supreme ruler. After breaking the trust of the upper kingdom, he was exiled, for which he wants revenge.
• Version 2 believes he was abandoned by Lark, the leader of the Upper Kingdom and Guardian Angel of the Light. He wants to break the Knight's morals and is most like the original.
• Version 3 is desperate to find friendship.
• Version 4 has an undefined vendetta with Mondo, thinks humans are lowlife and doesn't want the items to fall into their hands. He doesn't grasp he indirectly helps another human by trying to kill Mondo.
• Version 5 is really vague, as he takes the time to explain Mondo things when he asks for it and generally is a lot less violent, only vowing to rob Reda of his powers for his attempt to kill him. He also doesn't grasp he is about to die. This version persists beyond his redemption, when he turns into a full fledged Captain Obvious who constantly states that he is a good guy now.
