Personality
Gloxinia Death Thorn 1
Gloxinia's sadistic persona.

In the past, Gloxinia used to be much happier and had an outgoing and caring personality often enjoying playing childish games as well as protecting the Fairy King's Forest, until an incident 3,000 years ago.
As a member of the Ten Commandments, Gloxinia has an upbeat and go-free personality but very sadistic demeanor, seemingly reveling in taunting others and killing. He holds a very deep loathing and resentment towards humans due to the betrayal Rou and his comrades committed towards Stigma when he initially believed his sister, Gerheade, was killed by him, but despite this, Drole notes he seems to enjoy imitating them.

After the Great Fight Festival he reverts to his original comedic, caring, headstrong and outgoing personality confidently stating to Zeldris he is ready to fight him at full force. Gloxinia even expressed how much he resents turning to the Demon Clan and glad he can atone for his sins in his final moments.

History
3,000 years ago
In the ancient Holy War 3,000 years ago, Gloxinia used to be friends and fought alongside both Drole and Meliodas as members of Stigma. But he was betrayed by Stigma and the human Rou and had something even more important than his own life stolen from him, his sister, Gerheade.[3] This drove him to turn to the Demon Clan because he felt all trusted comrades has stabbed him in the back, eventually becoming a demon himself and being appointed as one of the Ten Commandments. He was eventually sealed away in the Coffin of Eternal Darkness with the rest of the Demon Clan, by the Goddess Clan during the first Holy war.

Abilities and Equipment
As a member of the Ten Commandments and a former Fairy King, Gloxinia is extremely powerful. After receiving a commandment from the Demon King, Gloxinia obtained powers related to the Demon Clan, like their unique power of darkness, similar to Meliodas at Vaizel. He is capable of utilizing this dark power to form helicopter-shaped wings for flight. He keeps the tips of Basquias covered in this dark power at all times. His aura is so powerful that he makes the normally calm Hendrickson sweat in fear of his presence, combined with the other Ten Commandments and unnerved Meliodas when he sensed it several kilometers away. King has stated that the amount of power coming from him is incredibly huge.[4] As a Fairy, he can also control nature and has been shown to make Flower Dolls「花人形 Hana Ningyō」 from foliage.[5] These vegetation golems possesses tremendous power, vitality, and regeneration. Gloxinia with Drole's help is also powerful enough to go toe-toe with Chandler the highest-ranked Demon when he is using his full power and hold their own against him for a short amount of time.

Though physically weaker than the other members of the Ten Commandments due to his fairy nature, Gloxinia possesses immense endurance and durability as he not only survived but remained conscious from a massive attack by Escanor which destroyed the large boulder of Vaizel and threw him through the labyrinth Drole created though it did take him some time to recover and heal himself. Later he was able to endure attacks delivered by Meliodas with his demon mark activated in order to heal himself and Drole. Gloxinia also has great flight speed due to having the largest wings of fairies, seen when he managed to dodge some of Meliodas' attacks with his demon mark activated before being eventually outpaced. Furthermore, King took note of the greater speed he flew at while inside Gloxinia's body during his trial.

Abilities

Disaster「災厄ディザスター Dizasutā」: Gloxinia's innate power that he shares with King, the current Fairy King. This power allows to control life and death throughout nature and drawing out the power of Basquias.

Gloxinia Servant「花人形グロキシニアサーバント Gurokishinia Sābanto; literally meaning "Flower Doll"」: Gloxinia creates a golem in the likeness of Gerheade out of vegetation.[6]
Jumanju「呪ジュ蔓マン樹ジュ Jumanju; literally meaning "Cursed Vine Tree"」: Gloxinia summons a giant, wooden monster from the earth.

Levitation: As a fairy, Gloxinia is a able to levitate and fly. He can also levitate his Spirit Spear Basquias to use it in battle and lift up other people.
Heart Reading: Like all fairies, Gloxinia is able to hear the voice of the hearts of others, being able to perceive their thoughts.

Time Regression Spell: A technique from the Goddess Clan that allows to send the soul of some being towards the past.

Combined Techniques
Main article: Ore Tree Orudora
Combined Technique: Ko-ju Orudora「合技 鉱樹こうじゅオルドーラ Gōgi "Kō-ju Orudōra"; literally meaning "Ore Tree Orudora"」: A combined technique in which Gloxinia and Drole create a large tower combining minerals and plant DNA in which they lock their target. It is fire resistant and possesses regenerative abilities and a high elasticity capable of withstanding great pressure.[8] Because of its incredible elasticity, it's capable of detaining even the highest-ranking demon of the Demon Clan, Chandler, in his true form no less though only temporarily.

Commandment
The Demon King bestowed Gloxinia with the commandment of Repose「安息あんそく Ansoku」.[9] The effects of its curse are currently unknown.

Weapons
Main article: Basquias
He wields the Spirit Spear Basquias「霊槍バスキアス Reisō Basukiasu」, which is most commonly seen in the form of green, octopus-like tentacles wrapping around his body. It has at least ten forms

Relationships
Gerheade
Gerheade is Gloxinia's younger sister. The two were extremely close, and he protected her from almost anyone and anything. During the Great Fight Festival he creates a golem in the likeness of Gerheade during his battle against Diane and King, and is shown to be upset by its destruction. When they finally were reunited their relationship remained the same.

Meliodas
Long ago, he and Meliodas were close friends and comrades-in-arms during the war against the Demon Clan. Even now, he remains very interested in Meliodas, wishing to fight him in the Great Fight Festival. After leaving the Demon Clan, he respects Meliodas as much as he uses to and are back on good terms even fighting on his side against the Demon Clan. In his final moments, he wished for Meliodas to be rewarded for all his suffering.

Elizabeth
During the ancient war 3,000 years ago, Gloxinia and Elizabeth were friends and comrades. Not much is known about their relationship, though Gloxinia had said that she was a dear friend to both him and Drole. When he and Drole came to save the Seven Deadly Sins from Chandler, he finally realized that Elizabeth Liones was the reincarnation of the one of his dearest friends from 3,000 years ago. In his final moments he wished for her to be rewarded for all her suffering.

King
As the current Fairy King, and as a member of the Seven Deadly Sins, Gloxinia viewed King as not only as an enemy, but also as an unworthy successor to the title of Fairy King. This was seen during the Great Fighting Festival when he saw how King struggled to use the full power of his Spirit Spear Chastiefol during his battle, but he was impressed by King's determination to protect Diane, despite his criticisms on King's control of his power. Later when he and Drole approached King and Diane in battle, Gloxinia was impressed by King's readiness to battle him, though shrugged off most of King's attacks towards him, stating that he could be stronger than he currently is if he had his wings. After King passed his trial and his wings grew, Gloxinia opinion towards King has significantly changed. He could easily see King's growth from the trial and also even saw some similarities between the two of them, mostly their love for their sisters as well as their love for the Fairy King's Forest. As a result, Gloxinia now seems to hold King in high regards, as he came to his rescue during the fight against Chandler, and his final words to King were how even though his wings had just grown, his power has now become comparable to his own, that eventually as they grow he would definitely become the most powerful Fairy King of all times, suggesting that he finally viewed King as a worthy successor.

Ten Commandments

Drole
Drole and he pair up when the Ten Commandments split up, and they seem to get along fine. Though Gloxinia likes to tease him by calling him "Balor", Drole nonetheless accommodates his plans for the Great Fight Festival and helps with all the preparations. Gloxinia and Drole were close friends and comrades-in-arms during the war against the Demon Clan. Gloxinia seems to care for his comrade as during their fights with Meliodas he healed Drole without hesitation several times using his Inochi no Shizuku technique even though he stated later that it was limited in uses.

Zeldris
During his time with the Commandments, Gloxinia respected Zeldris very much and viewed him as a suitable leader. However, after leaving the Commandments Gloxinia is no longer on good terms on him and views him as a common enemy.

Others

Rou
Gloxinia initially was fond of Rou and liked him, but when the humans betrayed the other clans, and he found Gerheade "dead" in his arms, he brutally killed him. Gloxinia hated Rou because he thought he killed his sister but after realizing the truth he began to like him more than he realized he kept his promise to Gerheade and reincarnate in Oslo, protecting her like he said.

Drole - Ten commandments - Seven deadly Sins

Drole「ドロール」, also known to humans as Balor「バロール」, is recognized as the founder of the Giant Clan, their former King and a god by some, according to the clan's legends. He later defected to be an elite warrior of the Demon Clan, serving directly under the Demon King as the Patience of the Ten Commandments, but ultimately left and returned to affiliate with his previous clan

Drole is a massive giant, towering over other giants such as Diane and Matrona. His skin is light blue, and he has four arms, with the normally positioned pair each having an arm band. He wears tattered orange pants with skull patterns on the lining, and has a tattered orange bag covering his head. He also has brown hair. He is missing his left eye, now having only scar tissue covering the socket. This feature is usually covered by his bangs. When he was a part of the Ten Commandments, his demon mark was located on his butt.
When Drole was freed from the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, his entire body was incredibly malnourished and hunched down before he gradually regains his full strength and proper posture after absorbing enough magic power as time passes by.

Personality
Drole is a calm individual who rarely speaks but when he does, he does so politely. He appears to believe greatly in fate and putting everything you have into battle. Being a giant, Drole possesses a great deal of warrior pride as is noted by giants that in battle it's shameful to flee for whatever reason. He proves his adherence to this principle by choosing to side with the Ten Commandments after Zeldris defeated him quite easily and was shocked that Diane chose to flee instead during her trial.

After seeing how Diane's love made her stronger than the combat power most giants valued, Drole eventually saw the errors in the way he ruled the Giant Clan into becoming nothing but warriors. He then acknowledged that choosing either victory or death in battle was actually cowardly itself as the giants under his rule simply didn't have the courage to retreat when necessary. For this, he believed that Diane can make the Giant Clan prosper again and thus choose to become her shield, appointing her to be the new Giant queen.

Despite his stoic demeanor, Drole still does have a humorous side, as shown when he bursts out laughing at Gloxinia's impersonation of Meliodas.

History

3,000 years ago
According to the myths of the giants, Drole was a highly respected ancestor of the Giant Clan, having developed a sacred dance with deep connections to nature and earth.[3] Since his childhood, Drole was isolated from his clan for his abnormal size, mysterious eye, four arms and blue skin. Despite this, since the Giant Clan values the strength above all things, they celebrate Drole as the Giant King. During the Holy War, he fought alongside both Gloxinia and Meliodas as members of Stigma in order to defeat the Demon King and once prove to be the most powerful warrior of all. But his pride was shattered after easily being defeated by Zeldris. [4] This humiliation, lead to him siding with the Demon Clan, and even becoming a demon himself, as one of the Ten Commandments.

He was eventually sealed away along with the rest of the Demon Clan, by the Goddess Clan after losing the Ancient War against the other four races (humans, giants, fairies, and goddesses).

Abilities and Equipment

As a member of the Ten Commandments and a legendary warrior of the Giant Clan, Drole is extremely powerful. After receiving a Commandment from the Demon King, Drole obtained powers related to the Demon Clan, like their unique power of darkness, similar to Meliodas' at Vaizel. He is capable of utilizing this dark power to form helicopter-shaped wings for flight. His aura, combined with the aura of the other Ten Commandments is so terrifying that it made the normally calm Hendrickson sweat in fear by their presence and unnerved Meliodas when he sensed it several kilometers away. Matrona, upon first encountering his labyrinth could sense his power in the center, miles away, and noted how extraordinary it is.Futhermore, Drole with Gloxinia help is also powerful enough to go toe-toe with Chandler the highest-ranked Demon when he is using his full power and hold their own against him for a short amount of time.

Owing to his great size and physical strength, Drole has an incredible physical constitution and endurance, being able to get up and begin fighting Meliodas almost immediately after taking a massive attack from Escanor head on, which was capable of destroying the giant boulder that crushed Vaizel, and threw him through his own labyrinth. He is able to endure attacks from Meliodas with his Demon Mark activated and showing no outward reaction from having his arms cut off or standing completely unfazed while allowing Diane to land multiple direct attacks all over his body with Gideon.

Being the largest giant so far in the series along with being their former king, Drole possesses the greatest amount of physical strength of giants being able to send Diane, another giant, flying away a considerable distance with just the heel of his palm even when she increased her weight with Heavy Metal. He was also able to easily incapacitate her with just one of his palm strikes when her Heavy Metal was dissipated by him which is considerable as she was able to remain conscious and continue fighting even when wounded by multiple Great Holy Knight level opponents before.

Despite his enormous size, Drole also has great speed and agility as he was able to effortlessly dodge Diane's Crazy Rush all the while performing his sacred dance that dissipated her magic.

Abilities

Ground「大地グラウンド Guraundo」: Drole inherent power which appears to be a variant of the giant's standard power: Creation. His control over the earth is incredible and his power dwarfs that of Matrona. Using this skill he was able to change the entire landscape of the former Vaizel fighting arena and the surrounding area into a gargantuan labyrinth that stretched for miles with elaborate traps and restored itself when damaged, easily summon two giant hands which easily eclipse Diane's "Mother Catastrophe" boulder in size, and can create golems of earth, all with a few simple hand gestures. He is also able to manipulate the giant hands to swiftly capture dozens of foes. Combing his sacred dance with his earth manipulating magic, Drole is able to dissipate the Creation magic of lesser giants due to his greater connection with the Earth.
Drole's Dance: By performing a special dance, Drole is able to increase his connection to the earth, while increasing his power level the more he carries it out.

Magical Eye: Drole is seemingly able to determine the strength of his opponents and read people's minds simply by looking after him. Merlin's magical item Balor's Magical Eye is named after him (or rather his unwanted alias) because of this quality. The eye is unable to read Meliodas for reasons unknown.
Time Regression Spell: A technique from the Goddess Clan that allows to send the soul of some being towards the past.

Commandment

Drole was bestowed with the commandment of Patience「忍耐 Nintai」 by the Demon King. The effects of its curse are currently unknown.

Relationships

Meliodas
He and Meliodas were once comrades-in-arms before he and Gloxinia joined the Demon Clan. Even in battle the two can calmly speak to one another, and Meliodas is known very well to be cautious of Drole's "Magical Eye". He said Meliodas was strong enough that if he wished, he could claim the throne of the Demon King for his own.

Later on in the latter, Drole's dying wish was to speak to his old friend, Meliodas, once more.

Ten Commandments

Gloxinia

Gloxinia and he paired up when the Ten Commandments spread out to take over Britannia so they seem to get along well. He has been very accommodating to his plans for a "fighting festival", building a labyrinth and setting the stage even though he seems to consider the entire affair as imitating humans and playing around. Drole seems to care for his fairy comrade as he protected him from Meliodas during their fight, notably by gathering an injured Gloxinia in his hand and protecting him against Meliodas' Kami Chigiri using his Heavy Metal even though Drole was himself injured. The reason for this closeness is that they were comrade-in-arms before becoming demons, having fought together against the Demon King before changing sides.

Giant Clan

Diane

Despite originally being his enemy, Diane made an impression on Drole. During the Great Fight Festival arc, Drole originally had no opinion of her whatsoever, but later during the festival he was impressed by how she was able to defeat his golem during the festival with golems of her own, and noticed her deep connection to nature and the earth. Long after the festival, he and Gloxinia approached Diane and King respectively, took them both and told them of their intent to betray the Ten Commandments to train them as their successors, after which they briefly fought and sent them both to the past as part of their trial. During the trial, Diane learned much about Drole, the holy war, and his past decision to join the Ten Commandments, and in turn Drole watched her during the trial and was not only glad she passed the trial, but was shocked by Diane's decision to flee instead of joining the commandments, a decision Drole himself admitted he never would have thought to have make back then.

After seeing this and seeing how Diane's love made her stronger than the combat power most giants valued, Drole eventually saw the errors in the way he ruled the Giant Clan into becoming nothing but warriors. He then acknowledged that choosing either victory or death in battle was actually cowardly itself as the giants under his rule simply didn't have the courage to retreat when necessary. For this, he not only befriended the giant girl, but came to greatly respect her, so much, so he believed that Diane can make the Giant Clan prosper once again and thus choose to become her shield, and he helps her escape during his fight with Chandler. He even used his final words to her to appoint her to be the next ruler of the giant clan and proudly stated his intent to protect the new "Giant Queen".

Handedness: Ambidextrous
Birthplace: Megadozer
Special ability: Creating labyrinths

Estarossa - Ten Commandments - Seven deadly Sins

Mael「マエル」 is one of the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan. During the Holy War 3,000 years ago, a certain person reforged Mael and everyone else's memories, giving the Archangel a new identity as a member of the Ten Commandments and the second son of the Demon King, under the name of Estarossa「エスタロッサ Esutarossa」.

Appearance

Estarossa is a very tall and muscular man and wears a yellow (blue in the anime) longcoat with gold (silver in the anime) gauntlets and boots. He bears a great resemblance to the wanted poster of Meliodas. He has silver hair and noticeable facial stubble. He also has the same demonic mark as Meliodas and Zeldris but unlike Meliodas, it is above his left eye similar to Zeldris.

After absorbing the Commandment of Truth, Estarossa's appearance remains mostly unchanged except that his forearms and legs are covered in darkness, and he gains a spiked circle made of darkness on his back. Once he absorbs the Commandment of Reticence, he transforms for a second time with his entire body covered in darkness similar to that of Meliodas' Assault Mode.

PERSONALITY

ESTAROSSA

"It's impossible to read what he's truly thinking or feeling, just like Meliodas...But what worries me the most is that inexplicable feeling of unease and discomfort that radiates from him...Like something's out of place...I can't figure what the source of it is... But regardless, he is a strange man."
— Cusack's point of view about Estarossa

Estarossa seems to have a normally relaxed demeanor. When Meliodas appears and threatens the Ten Commandments, he doesn't seem overly bothered by the situation. Beneath this aloof exterior, however, he has a very sadistic and cold side. He cites Meliodas' former ruthlessness as one of the traits he used to admire most about him, and clearly takes pleasures in torturing his estranged brother as punishment for the betrayal of his own kind. He did, however, begin crying when killing Meliodas, implying that he does still feel love for his older brother.

Estarossa seems to enjoy fighting for himself. For instance, he claimed that he wanted to fight with his brothers for the Demon King's throne, even though he confesses to not being interested in it. Consequently, it makes his motivations rather unclear as he does not put himself forward for the Demon King's throne and rather prefers "gaining" Elizabeth instead. He seems to show some respect against strong opponents such as Escanor to whom he asked his name because he deemed it worth to keep in mind.

Zeldris implied that Estarossa may hunger for more power, as he warned him to not try stealing the Commandments they had to recover for himself. Furthermore, Estarossa himself had no qualms in proposing killing his fellow Commandments to acquire their special abilities more quickly, showing that he does not care at all for them apart from possibly Zeldris. This was proven further when he ruthlessly killed the petrified Galand just because it would take time to have Zeldris release him from his petrification. His hunger for power was later proven to be true by the fact that he would rather have all the Commandments for himself, rather than to give them to Zeldris or Meliodas.

Eventually, it's revealed that Estarossa seems to be a rather mentally unstable man. Monspeet mentioned that his mind and soul has been slowly eaten away at by his commandment, leaving him in an unstable mindset. His thirst for power is what drives him now.

While ruthless to demons, considering them as garbage and feeling no remorse for how many he killed, Mael seems to have been a good individual to those not associated with the Demon Clan, expressing deep remorse for killing so many innocents and his kin upon remembering what happened. He had enough willpower to turn himself from being a coward unable to harm an insect to the mightiest of the Four Archangels. He also was very proud of how highly Ludociel thought of him. He does not seem to be sadistic towards demons despite his hatred for them, as he prefers to use a technique that gives them painless death instead of beating them first.

After regaining his memories, while under the influence of the Commandments, Mael became vengeful towards Gowther for what he did to him. He has became sadistic towards those who ally with Gowther, relishing in the pain Gowther felt when King was in severe pain from his attack. However, he seems to still consider his fellow Archangels as allies, greeting them cordially, clearly being surprised as of how they are against him, and while he fights them and King, he never strikes them with one of his attacks, only ever being shown to inflict grievous harm on King. This changes after he absorbs the Purity Commandment, where he has no qualms attacking anyone, even Elizabeth.

After Gowther invaded Mael's mind and made him know the reasons behind why the Archangel was chosen by the demon Gowther to be turned into "Estarossa", Mael felt great remorse for his past indiscriminate killing of demons, allowing him to be able to expel the Commandments from within him. Free from the influence of the Commandments, Mael didn't hesitate in saving Gowther. Afterwards, Mael was unsure if he should continue to fight in the Holy War, asking if he should fight to defeat the Demon Clan as a member of the Goddess Clan. It was only after Elizabeth asked him to help end the Holy War instead that he joined the battle.

History
3000 years ago
Mael was one of the Goddess Clan's Four Archangels and Ludociel's younger brother. In his youth, Mael was rejected by his clan because he was a coward incapable of harming even an insect. During this time, Mael greatly admired his older brother, aspiring to be like him.

It was also during this time that he met the goddess Elizabeth and fell in love with her because of her being the only person besides his brother who never made fun of him. However, Elizabeth, who only had eyes for Meliodas, did not reciprocate his feelings. Despite this, Mael always kept observing her from a distance and told Ludociel about his feelings for Elizabeth. His older brother then promised to arrange things for the two of them. However, Mael ultimately ended up devastated when Elizabeth eventually fell in love with Meliodas.

At one point, Mael confronted the leader of the Six Knights of Black, Bellion when he raided a Sky Temple and showed his far superior strength by effortlessly almost burning him to death until Meliodas interfered. The result of their fight it is unknown.

Mael is first mentioned when Ludociel asks Nerobasta to call for him during the attack on Stigma headquarters.

According to Ludociel, Mael was at some point killed by Estarossa of the Ten Commandments. This, however, was revealed to be a false memory forged by the demon Gowther.[1] Searching to put an end to the Holy War, Gowther uses a forbidden spell and reforged Mael's and everyone else's memories of the Archangel, him a new identity as the second son of the Demon King, under the name of "Estarossa".

Now a part of the Demon Clan, Mael received the Commandment of Love that Meliodas abandoned, becoming a member of the Ten Commandments. The supposed death of Mael was so devastating for the Goddess Clan, that it forced them to carry out the seal of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Estarossa was sealed away by the Goddess Clan along with the rest of the Demon Clan, ending the Holy War.

Abilities and Equipment
As one of the Four Archangels, Mael is an extremely powerful goddess. Like all members of the Goddess Clan, he has wings that grants him the ability of flight.[2]

Despite being initially weak from the beginning, Ludociel knew Mael possessed immense potential and would be able to surpass him in the future.[3] Living up to Ludociel's beliefs, Mael became the strongest of the Four Archangels.[4] His older brother, the leader of the Four Archangels, openly admits that he is not able to match Mael's power when his Grace reaches it's maximum at high noon.[5] With his very presence alone, he was able to use his Grace to completely cloud over Bellion's darkness, the leader of the Six Knights of Black, and deal heavy damage on him. Mael is so powerful that after Meliodas' betrayal of the Demon Clan, to perverse the balance of power, Gowther was forced to convert him into Estarossa in order to tilt the power balance of the war in favor of the Demon Clan, forcing the Goddess Clan to perform the Coffin of Eternal Darkness.[6] His power as the most powerful of the Four Archangels is far superior to the power he had as Estarossa, as while Estarossa was considerably overwhelmed by the Commandments, upon regaining his memories and power as Mael, he proved capable of fully controlling the Commandments in his body.[7] The Commandments inside him also serves as a replacement to the Grace he possessed which increases his power,[8] as shown by how he manages to pressure King, Sariel and Tarmiel all at once, severely injures King and only loses upon being caught off guard.[9] Even after he sustains severe wounds from Derieri's beating, he was still able to instantly kill her with his Kyusai no Ya and successfully absorbs the Commandment of Purity.[10] At this point, Mael's power skyrockets to being above 200,000 and his magic power alone was sufficient to terrify and cause King, Diane and Gowther to sweat, with Elizabeth going as far as to tell them to run upon feeling Mael's power.[11] After re-obtaining Sunshine, he easily dispels Original Demon's spell of Darkness and overpowers his attacks after he had increased his power with Crisis.[12]

Mael possesses tremendous speed, as shown when he blitzes Gowther before he can react[13] and instantaneously appears behind King right after the latter knocked him away,[14] as well as being able to easily catch Zeldris off-guard.[15] He also possesses immense levels of durability and physical strength, as shown when he emerges completely unscathed after taking a direct hit from King's True Spirit Spear Chastiefol[16] and easily stops his Sabaki no Yari with just one hand.[17] It took both Sariel and Tarmiel using their graces to the fullest to restrain him and he was able to endure a violent beating from Derieri without showing any signs of pain despite heavily bleeding, and survives long enough to reason with Tarmiel to make him cease his attack and afterwards effortlessly kills Derieri and absorbs her Commandment.[18][19] He is also an extremely skilled swordsman, as shown when he kills a group of demons with great ease[20]. Mael is fully capable of fighting unarmed, being on the same level as Meliodas or Zeldris, even imbuing his physical combat with Sunshine techniques.[21]

Possessing the Commandments of Love, Truth, and Retinence has granted Mael tremendous dark powers while he also retains the vast light powers he possessed.[22] He is even capable of mixing them together, creating a sphere of pure light and darkness,[23] generating a blade of light and dark energy in both his hands,[24] and firing destructive beams of light and darkness, with a single one of which was sufficient to destroy Tarmiel's physical form.[25] After he had absorbs the Purity Commandment, Mael is capable of combining the curses of the Commandments with his light magic, as shown by how he mixed the Commandment of Love with his light powers to unleash a devastating explosion that severely injured and would have killed Diane and King while not causing them any pain and instead simply makes them sleepy until they finally die.[26] He also has become immune to both the powers of the Goddess Clan and Demon Clan, with only a Fairy, Giant, or a Human as well as a direct attack to Mael's psyche has a chance to defeat him.[27]

As Estarossa
After receiving a Commandment from the Demon King, he becomes an extremely powerful demon. Like all members of the Demon Clan, he is able to manipulate the mysterious jet-black power of darkness for a variety of purposes, such as forming a sphere for battle[28] and wings for flight.[29] His aura, combined with the aura of the other Ten Commandments is so terrifying that it made the normally calm Hendrickson sweat in fear by their presence.[30]

Estarossa has the power to turn other living creatures into demons, similar to the effects of drinking Red Demon's blood.[31] Those incompatible with the power will explode.[32][33] A hint to his true power is given when Drole and Gloxinia, fellow Commandments, are shocked to see someone else with a level of magic power similar to his.[34] According to Cusack; Estarossa's power may be even greater than Zeldris,[35] which is proven true, as he was able to keep himself from being completely immobilized by Meliodas' attack in his Assault Mode, while Zeldris was completely unable to move even while using the Demon King's power, forcing Meliodas to use more of his power to completely pin him down.[36]

After learning Admonition from Zeldris, Estarossa now has the ability to remove Commandments and has also shown to know the ritual to absorb the Commandments into himself, doing so to absorb the Commandments of Truth and Reticence.[37] [38]

Estarossa possesses immense levels of speed and strength, sporting a fighting style that revolves around punches, piercing attacks and brute force. He instantaneously moved behind Ban in order to attack Meliodas.[39] When Ban tried to break his neck or steal his strength with Hunter Fest, he acted as if nothing was happening, showing just how truly astonishing his physical strength is.[40] He easily overtook Sariel and Tarmiel with his Killing Saucer before they can react and managed to easily impale Tarmiel's chest, although the latter quickly escaped with his Ocean Grace. He also possesses immense levels of durability and endurance, as shown when he was completely unfazed by Ban's Fox Hunt[41] and survives Escanor's Cruel Sun and Pride Flare after being hit at point-blank range.[42] He remained completely unscathed from Monspeet's massive Hellfire when the latter used it against him as a last resort in trying to stop him.[43] He even gained praise from two of the Four Archangels for taking Elizabeth's Ark head on and remain unharmed,[44] charges straight through their Vengeful Saint attack without suffering any damage, and survived their Enlil no Tenbatsu long enough to absorb a Commandment.[45]

After absorbing the Truth Commandment, Estarossa becomes much more powerful than before, as he was able to break out of the Domain of God that Tarmiel and Sariel unleashed to imprison him, which was impossible for anyone not holding raw power greater than two Archangels. He was also somehow able to negate Tarmiel's ability to use Ocean to liquefy himself and bypass Sariel's Tornado and break off all of Sariel's bones as well as briefly ground Tarmiel with a single attack, with Tarmiel being astonished by how far his power grew, saying that it rivaled even that of his and Sariel combined. His durability and regeneration becomes great enough to survive and swiftly regenerate from being cut to pieces and half.[46] Absorbing the Reticence Commandment made him even more powerful, allowing him to instantly defeat both Tarmiel and Sariel. He also remained unfazed by King's attack and effortlessly broke through Diane's Diamond Shield while simultaneously grievously wounding Guila and was able to swiftly slice Sariel and Tarmiel in half after being cut to pieces, after which he quickly regenerated. However, this massive increase in power comes at the cost of his soul becoming even more warped.[47]
