The Snow Queen
Date aired: May 22, 2005 to Feb 12, 2006
Short Summary:
Based on the children's story by Hans Christian Andersen.
Gerda and Kai have been neighbors and best friends since childhood. Gerda is eleven, Kai twelve. They were happy children who worked and played as they should. All that changed when the Snow Queen's mirror broke. The shards spread all through the world, each containing evil. If a shard went inside your eye, it would turn your heart to ice. A shard went into Kai's eye. After that, he grew cold to those he loved.
One night, the Snow Queen came in her carriage and took Kai back to her ice castle at the farthest north point of the world. Everyone in Kai and Gerda's village didn't know where he went and believed he died from drowning in the frozen-over lake. Gerda doesn't believe this, for she dreamed of seeing Kai enter the carriage. When a drunk man admits that he also saw this, Gerda starts realizing that maybe what she saw wasn't a dream. She packs her things and goes on a journey to save Kai and bring him back home. In Norther Europe

Ending song translation
I must have listened to it a thousand times
my heart gasps for air as you dont notice my
love. what is it we´re chasing after again?
why does our hometown feel so gentle to me?
Im goin to see you right now my beloved
Enveloped by this wind,i ran to you now
until i see the light in our home shinning once again
Summary
In Norther Europe during the mid 19th century the story stars with two children playing in the green hills, a nordic blonde and blue eyed boy named Kay and a brown haired girl named Gerda, who are friends that grew up together as if they were siblings. The two find beautiful roses and decide to take some, Kay taking white ones and Gerda took the red ones. Then a mysterious bell rings from the other side of the forest. The roses became the best memories they share during that cold Nordic summer. Both were oblivious of the fate that awaits them when winter arrives.
Under the Norther lights a lovely pale lady contemplates, she wears pristine white clothes and her hair fair.
Gerda and Kay heard the mysterious bells of the forest church and went looking for it. Gerda and Kay fell on a hole on the ground, then they found the magical church, it was an image of the ocean. it became their secret. A moment before that night ended. snow fell and winter came upon the pair´s town.
