Thokk, more commonly known as Battle Beast, is a supporting character in Invincible, serving from Season 1 and onward. He is an intergalactic warrior, searching for a worthy opponent to battle and provide him with a glorious death.
Appearance
Battle Beast is a tall and powerfully built humanoid alien that closely resembles a lion. His entire body is covered in white fur, and he has French braids on both sides of his head. In terms of attire, he wears a black leotard with red shoulder pads, black arm warmers, red toeless boots, and matching gloves. Additionally, he sports a belt featuring a checkered red and yellow pattern.
Personality
Battle Beast is fundamentally a warrior whose existence is centered on the pursuit of worthy combat. He is driven by an intense desire to seek out and engage in challenging battles across the universe, constantly testing his strength against those who are equal to or superior to him. This trait is similar to that of the Viltrumites.
He is a brutal and merciless fighter, finding pleasure in combat and even offering violence as a warped form of kindness. He derives satisfaction from causing pain, as demonstrated by his unsettling enjoyment of Mark Grayson's blood. He expresses profound disappointment and frustration when facing opponents he deems weak and unworthy.
His brutal nature is tempered by a dark, sadistic humor, often revealed through a malevolent smile. He uses threats of violence as a source of amusement, such as his claim of "mercy" towards Mark. He frequently displays arrogance, belittling opponents with condescending terms. His personality is a complex blend of battle lust, sadistic amusement, and a pervasive sense of superiority.
Despite his ferocity, Battle Beast follows a personal code of honor. He chooses not to kill those he considers insignificant, viewing it as dishonorable.
After being freed by Allen, he immediately sought a worthy fight, eagerly agreeing to battle the two Viltrumites. He showed a willingness to cooperate with Allen to secure these fights and even established boundaries for engagement. He displayed intense anger when the Viltrumites were not immediately found, revealing his impatience and fervent desire for battle. He even considered Allen a worthy fight, but was pleased when he found the Viltrumites. He expressed pure joy at the prospect of fighting them, declaring that regardless of the outcome, victory or death, the battle itself would be glorious.
When he was thrown into the vacuum of space he continued his fight against the Viltrumite Executioner until he killed him by tearing him to pieces while he remained asleep in a state similar to hibernation while frozen in the vacuum of space being rescued later by two aliens waking up almost immediately wanting more fighting.
Powers
- Superhuman Strength: Battle Beast possesses extraordinary strength, exceeding even that of most Viltrumites. He wields an exceptionally large mace with remarkable speed and skill, demonstrating devastating physical power. He effortlessly threw Monster Girl with immense force and just as quickly pummeled her into a critical state.
- Superman Stamina and Durability: Battle Beast exhibits exceptional durability and stamina, enduring numerous attacks from the new Guardians without showing significant signs of damage. Even when faced with a Viltrumite, and sustaining some injuries, he maintains his fighting ability and determination. He willingly ceases combat only when his allies are incapacitated, not due to his own inability to continue. He survived alone in the vacuum of space frozen in a state of hibernation and woke up almost immediately after being rescued unharmed from his fight with one of Viltrum's soldiers.
- Superhuman Speed and Reflex: Battle Beast has demonstrated the speed and reflexes to keep up with a Viltrumite in combat and surpass most superhumans on earth.
- Superhuman Lung Capacity: Battle Beast is able to hold his breath and continue to fight a Viltrumite soldier in the vacuum of space and even enter a state of hibernation while frozen until rescued.
- Claws and Fangs: Battle Beast natural weaponry is durable and sharp enough to pierce and tear the skin and flesh of Viltrumites, who are nearly invulnerable.

- Mace Proficiency: Battle Beast is incredibly skilled in using his mace, pummeling foes with ease.
- Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Battle Beast's combat prowess is exceptional. He demonstrates a high level of efficiency in his movements, quickly neutralizing opponents. Against foes of similar size, he is able to instantly react to their battle tactics and systematically take them down with a relentless barrage of attacks.
