Team 1, 2 & 3 Iron Wolf Battalion & Steel Fang Legion

The Iron Reign of the United Wasteland

The United Wasteland, also called the Iron Reign, is a harsh post-apocalyptic kingdom built after civilization collapsed. Many outsiders see them as violent, gun-loving soldiers, but the truth is more complex. They are a nation focused on survival, trapped between dangerous enemies: the magical Baalaninans and the violent desert nomads. The Iron Reign sees itself as humanity’s last fortress.

Government & Culture

The nation is ruled by powerful generals and engineers in a strict military government. Citizens must obey, and loyalty is expected from everyone.

Magic is completely banned because the Iron Reign believes it is dangerous and uncontrollable. Anyone caught using magic is publicly executed.

Technology is highly valued. Old-world weapons, drones, AI, and machines are repaired and turned into tools of war. Science is treated almost like a religion.

Citizens grow up surrounded by propaganda and fear of outsiders, especially the Baalaninans.

Main Groups in the United Wasteland

1. The Free People

The Free People are the everyday citizens - farmers, mechanics, scavengers, and workers who keep the nation alive.

Most of them are loud, proud, patriotic, and often arrogant, but also caring toward fellow wastelanders. Even though they support strength and survival, many secretly hope for peace someday.

2. Soldiers of the Iron Oath

The Soldiers of the Iron Oath are elite warriors who believe they protect humanity’s last hope.

They are cold, disciplined, and ruthless toward enemies, but they still follow a strict code: protect civilians, destroy threats.

They wear steel-gray armor, black visors, and the symbol of a red cog with a burning torch.

The Pilots — “Heavy Metals”

Elite combat engineers and mech operators.

They repair machines, maintain bunkers, and fight in powerful flying battle suits. In combat, they descend from the sky like armored meteors. Their famous radio call is:

“Heavy Metal inbound.”

The Augmented — “Steelborn”

Special soldiers genetically modified from birth.

Most die during the process, but survivors gain incredible strength, speed, and healing abilities. Fear and emotions are heavily suppressed, turning them into living weapons.

They are used as shock troops, assassins, and enforcers. When the Steelborn arrive, silence and fear follow.

Team 1 — Iron Wolf Battalion

A feared special operations squad known for brutal efficiency and absolute loyalty to the Iron Reign. Soldiers call them “the Wolves” because wherever they deploy, nothing survives except their allies.

The Iron Wolf Battalion is one of the most feared special operations squads in the entire Iron Reign. Known simply as “The Wolves,” they are deployed only in the deadliest missions where failure is not an option. Wherever they go, battlefields are left silent behind them. To the people of the Wasteland, they are heroes. To their enemies, they are monsters in black steel armor.

Unlike ordinary soldiers, the Wolves are more like a family forged through endless war. Every member is dangerous in their own way  from unstoppable Steelborn super-soldiers to genius mech pilots and mysterious operatives with strange powers. Together, they represent the Iron Reign at its most powerful and terrifying.

Team 3 — The Grave Hounds

A classified Iron Reign extermination unit deployed only during catastrophic threats. They are feared even among Steelborn divisions for their brutal efficiency and overwhelming firepower. To outsiders, they look like monsters in black armor marching through smoke and blood.

But beneath the terrifying reputation, the Grave Hounds are deeply loyal to one another — more like brothers than soldiers.

When the Iron Reign needs a battlefield erased completely, they send the Grave Hounds.

Commander Cassian Dray — “Black Vulture”

Role:

Steelborn Commander

Appearance:

A massive broad-shouldered Steelborn standing nearly seven feet tall. Cassian has slicked-back dark hair streaked with gray, cold steel-blue eyes, and a heavily scarred face that makes him look permanently intimidating. His black officer armor is layered with crimson steel plating and covered in old battle damage. A torn military coat hangs behind him like a cape.

Even standing still, he feels dangerous.

Personality:

Cold, disciplined, and terrifying in battle. Cassian believes hesitation gets people killed and expects absolute focus from his squad. Despite his harshness, he quietly protects both civilians and his own soldiers with fierce loyalty.

He rarely praises anyone directly, but the Grave Hounds know he would die for them without hesitation.

Combat Style:

Uses a massive automatic shotgun and reinforced combat gauntlets capable of crushing armor with raw strength.

 Rowan Vex — “Splitshot”

Role:

Steelborn Clone Operative

Appearance:

Lean and athletic compared to the other heavily muscular Steelborn, though still visibly powerful. Rowan has messy brown hair, sharp amber eyes, and lightweight black tactical armor designed for speed and mobility. Usually overloaded with pistols, rifles, ammunition belts, and combat knives.

He always looks slightly amused.

Personality:

Cocky, sarcastic, loud, and constantly joking during combat. Rowan hides his dangerous intelligence behind humor and acts like nothing bothers him.

In reality, he deeply cares about civilians and his squadmates.

Ability — Infinite Multiplication:

Rowan can duplicate himself endlessly, instinctively multiplying in groups of four. Every clone is fully armed, intelligent, and combat capable.

One Rowan is dangerous.

An army of Rowans becomes a war crime.

Combat Style:

Overwhelms enemies through relentless gunfire, flanking tactics, and sheer impossible numbers.

 Varka Holt — “War Mammoth”

Role:

Steelborn Heavy Assault

Appearance:

An absolute giant of a man with a bald head, massive beard, heavily scarred skin, and muscles thick enough to make power armor look small. His heavy black armor is reinforced with tank plating and covered in ammunition belts.

Looks more like a moving fortress than a human.

Personality:

Surprisingly gentle outside combat. Loves cooking, terrible jokes, and protecting weaker people. During battle, however, he becomes terrifyingly aggressive.

Combat Style:

Carries an oversized rotary cannon and simply walks through enemy fire while laughing.

 Serik Vale — “Bloodwire”

Role:

Steelborn Shock Specialist

Appearance:

Tall and heavily muscular with black hair shaved short on the sides and glowing red cybernetic cables running across his arms, chest, and neck. His black armor constantly emits faint sparks of electricity.

His glowing crimson eyes make him look almost inhuman in darkness.

Personality:

Quiet, observant, emotionally restrained. Rarely speaks unless necessary. Appears cold to strangers, but the team knows he is deeply protective underneath.

Combat Style:

Uses electrified chain-blades, magnetic pulse weapons, and brutal close-quarters combat.

 Gideon Rhys — “Rook”

Role:

Steelborn Breacher

Appearance:

Broad, heavily muscular frame with dark skin, shaved head, and a glowing red visor permanently covering both eyes. His armor is layered with explosive-resistant riot plating and giant reinforced shoulder guards.

Built like a human battering ram.

Personality:

Calm, disciplined, dependable. Functions like the older brother of the team and often keeps everyone focused during missions.

Combat Style:

Uses oversized combat hammers, breaching charges, and riot-shield tactics to smash through enemy defenses.

 Dex Mercer — “Deadline”

Role:

Heavy Metal Sniper / Drone Controller

Tall, athletic, and less bulky than the Steelborn, though still muscular. Wears a long black tactical coat lined with ammunition feeds and drone systems. Tactical goggles permanently cover his eyes.

The only member who looks almost normal.

Lean build.
Late 20s.
Messy brown hair falling around tired gray eyes.
Light stubble across his jaw.
Usually wears a weathered military coat over lightweight combat gear with almost no visible armor.

Looks more like a traveler than a soldier.

Yet despite his appearance, even Steelborn instinctively respect him.

Personality:

Quiet, intelligent, and deeply empathetic. Often patches up wounded civilians and exhausted squadmates after missions. Dislikes unnecessary violence and avoids killing whenever possible.

Strange Details:

  • Never talks about his past.
  • Never panics during combat.
  • High Command gave him unrestricted military clearance.
  • Even Commander Cassian treats him carefully.

The Mystery:

Nobody understands why someone like Milo belongs with monsters like the Grave Hounds.

Which probably means he’s more dangerous than all of them.

 Noctis Veil — “Wraith”

Role:

Steelborn Execution Operative

Appearance:

A towering muscular figure completely hidden beneath black stealth armor and tactical wrappings. His face is permanently concealed behind a smooth black mask with faint glowing red eye lenses.

Despite his massive size, he moves with impossible silence.

Like a shadow wearing power armor.

Personality:

Silent.
Emotionless.
Perfectly disciplined.

Most team members have never heard him speak more than a few words.

Combat Style:

Hand-to-hand combat monster capable of killing augmented enemies barehanded. Uses black combat blades, grappling wires, and overwhelming physical strength.

Reputation:

Enemies usually never realize Wraith is present until bodies start falling apart around them.

Even other Steelborn find him unsettling.

Classified Truth:

Noctis Veil does not officially exist within Iron Reign records.

Nobody knows what he was before becoming Wraith.

And nobody is brave enough to ask.
